became a silent key on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
There will be no public funeral or memorial service.
Look for a special tribute to Dave in the October edition of The Bandspread.

WVARA Executive Board Meeting
|
The WVARA Executive Board meets once per month. The meetings are either
at the Salvation Army, 234 S 8th St, Terre Haute, IN, or online via Zoom.
Normally, meetings are held on the Thursday following the monthly WVARA meeting at 7:00 p.pm EST/EDT.
Any WVARA member is welcome to attend Board meetings.

This meeting will be via Zoom only. There will be no in-person meeting.

The WVARA, in partnership with the Terre Haute Childrens' Museum, the Vigo County School Corporation, and Joink, Inc.,
will be contacting the International Space Station (ISS) via amateur radio sometime during the week of October 20-26, 2025.

WVARA Technical Session
|
From 9 a.m. to 12 noon (EST/EDT) on the 3rd Saturday of each month, the WVARA holds a Technical Session
where members can bring projects to work on, discuss technical issues with Elmers, or
otherwise advance their thechnical skills.
The sessions are held at the Salvation Army which is located at 234 S. 8th St in Terre Haute.

WVARA HF Net
|
The WVARA holds a weekly net every Saturday evening on 3.679 MHz (+/-10kHz) LSB at 9:00 pm Indiana time (8pm Illinois time).
This is an informal net with the purpose of encouraging WVARA members to get on the air and just ragchew.
All Extra-class amateurs are welcome whether WVARA members or not. Amateurs holding other classes of licenses
are encouraged to listen in as an incentive to upgrade.
