Indiana QSO Party
|
|
The Indiana QSO Party (INQP) is held on the first Saturday in May each year and
is sponsored by the Hoosier DX and Contest Club.
The goal of the contest is to contact as many Indiana counties, US states, and
Canadian provinces as possible in a 12-hour period.
|
Many participants set up portable stations on county lines
so that each contact counts as two contacts, one for each county.
Other participants operate mobile in order to activate as many counties as possible.
In 2024 the WVARA will be setting up a portable operation at the W9COD & W9IFE farm in central Vermillion County.
There will be a talk-in on the Clinton repeater (146.715 MHz, PL 151.4 Hz).
The WVARA encourages those members who are not assisting with the W9UUU operation to participate from their home QTH
and to submit their logs listing the Wabash Valley Amateur Radio Association as their club so that the WVARA will get
credit for their contacts in the club competition.
