HamCamp

The WVARA will be holding a Ham Radio New Operator Camp (HamCamp) on Saturday, February 6, 2021. This one-day seminar is for the new or inexperienced operator who is facing the dilemma:

"Okay, I've got my license -- now what?"

Taught by a team of amateurs with a combined experience of over 200 years in the hobby, HamCamp will cover such topics as setting up your station, operating techniques, building antennas, and more.

The fee for HamCamp is $10 and includes lunch.

HamCamp is limited to 15 participents. Pre-registration is required

All times are Eastern Standard Time (EST)
8:45 AM to 9:00 AM Registration & Sign-In
9:00 AM to 9:50 AM Basic Electrical Measurements for the Ham
(Lab Experience Session)
10:00 AM to 10:50 AM Setting Up a VHF/UHF Station
in Your Home or Car.
11:00 AM to 11:15 AM ----- Morning Break -----
11:15 AM to 12:00 PM VHF/UHF Operating
(Each participent will make at least one contact.)
12:00 PM to 1:00 PM ----- Lunch -----
1:00 PM to 1:50 PM Building, Installing, & Testing an HF Antenna
2:00 PM to 2:50 PM Setting Up an HF Station
3:00 PM to 3:15 PM ----- Afternoon Break -----
3:15 PM to 4:00 PM Working DX, Contesting, Logging & QSL Cards
4:00 PM  t0 5:00 PM Working the Bands Experience
