WVARA Club Station

The WVARA maintains a club station for use by the membership and visiting amateurs.  The station is open every Thursday evening between the hours of 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM.  The station is also open during selected contests and can be opened at other times by appointment.

The club station is located in a building on the Glas-Col property on the northeast corner of 7th and Idaho Streets in Terre Haute, IN. The entrance is on the east end of the building.

Operating Positions
The station features 3 operating positions.  Each operating position is equipped with a laptop computer for logging and CAT control of the HF transceivers and also for internet access. 

Logging software includes the DXLabs Suite for general operating and N1MM Logger for contest operations.

The station is equipped with the following antennas:
  • Homebrew 160m Off-Center Fed (OCF) Dipole (160m - 6m)
  • Gap Titan DX (80m - 10M)
  • 2 - Jetstream JTB2 Dual-Band (2m/70cm) Fiberglass Vertical Antennas
Work Area
A separate room contains a work area equipped with a professional soldering station with a lighted magnifier, basic test equipment, and an inspection microscope for repairing your equipment or for building that kit or homebrew project.
